IELTS (International English Language Test System) is the standard English test recognized by all education institutions and government agencies throughout Australia.

It is divided into general stream and academic stream, and has 4 components each: writing, reading, speaking and listening.
Most institutions also recognize TOEFL results, with the relevant scores as follows:
