DIBP accepts proof of English language proficiency from several sources such as IELTS, TOEFL IBT, PTE etc. The validity period of the test results can be vary for different visa sub class, and also some skill assessment organisations have different English language requirement, type of test and validity period.
A review application at the AAT can take a long time, which may results in the situation where the decision to grant the visa is no longer possible. A directive to fast track the application exists in the tribunal guidelines.
